My Letter to the President - Elect

Dear Sir,
With all sincerity of heart and with Joy, I am glad to write you this letter, am sure this is not the first letter you have received neither will it be the Last. How is madam (our beautiful first lady) doing? I hope she is getting ready for the rigorous task ahead?

Sir, the last time I waved at you in the television, I was expecting you to wave back but you never did, maybe you were busy looking ahead at the task ahead.

Sir, I am so happy you won gallantly at the polls and you will be the next president of our great nation. The Nigerian youths belief so much in you too. I will also like to tell you that your victory at the polls is a collective effort of all Nigerian especially those that clamoured for change. I have told them all that finally, their desired change has come.

Sir, your party slogan is "change" and your party logo is the broom. The broom always bring a significant change whenever it is applied with energy and brilliance. I am sure a significant change is here.

Sir, we all belief that you are a miracle worker which you claim to be, the sudden drop in the exchange for dollar and the 8% increase in the bond market has confirmed to the fact that you are indeed a miracle worker.

Sir, I will like to remind you of all your promises which the Nigerian youth now hold on to like their religion and now more popular than the National Anthem.

Sir, you have called the terrorist group called Boko Haram mere cowards and made us to realise that this group are like eggs in your hand which will take you no time to crush even when the US government has tagged the sect as a major terrorist group and they have placed a million dollar reward if their leader is killed or captured, and ISIS has pleaded affinity with this group. So also, you have promised to fight corruption to a halt. Your Excellency, I will like to remind you of various facet of corruption which include ;the political class corruption, civil servants corruption, masses corruption just to mention a few. I will be glad if you tackle the second group of corruption squarely and tackle among the civil servants atrocities like age falsification, ghost worker menace, certificate forgery, bribery and the rest. When you put all corrupt civil servants in jail, there will be more vacancy and more youths will be employed. No politician can be corrupt without the help of a civil servant.

Sir, as a spectator in the Nigerian politics for nearly 16 years, I will like to call you a super sub, just like in the game of football, a super sub; comes in,scores a goal (always crucial),change the match and wins the game.

Sir, be reminded of your 300,000 jobs in the first 6 months, your promise of job seekers allowance ,24 hours electricity and daily meal for students in public schools. I will not like you to flaw these promises, because they are good reasons why I campaigned for you.

Finally sir, I will like you to keep your words and make a dollar exchange for a naira, I am sure you are not thinking about decimalization of Naira because those that tried it in the past got several sticks.

Sir, I will be glad if you fulfill your promises in 4 years. Thanks in anticipation.
